A Dozen of Everything

2012 has been a great year for me. I have been very positive about this year since it is Year of the Dragon, my year. I believed that it would give me things that would surprise me and boy was I surprised. Let me take you with me as I look back at my year. A dozen of memorable dates, fascinating people and great music. I hope you enjoy!

January 01, 2012

Happy New Year! It's 1, We must check papers, Must have Kape and It's the Year of the Dragon! I felt that it was going to be my year. Started it right having kape with the November chicas. I realized just a few months ago that I saw WC at the start of the year. Woot woot!

February 14, 2012

V-day! Kape date with mg :) Little did we know that is was going to be a start of something great. Slumber partey in Dasma. I enjoyed reading my letters from students. Gaaaah, it's great to be a teacher. I also had chili dynamite with manong which I regretted. Too hot for me :l

March 27, 2012

AAM Graduation. Back in March 2005, I graduated highschool and was part of the first batch of Socrates. Seven years after, it was my turn to have my first ever batch of Socrates :)

Toraji Family Dinner. Very posh dinner over-looking the Tokyo city lights. I felt so blessed. Quite expensive  but it was one great, oishii dinner.

2nd Anniversary in school. Trip to the beach. I celebrated my 2nd year with pebs and  her family in Laiya, Batangas. Oh how I missed the beach! :)

When we got back in the metro, we decided to drop by Starbucks ATC. It was a hot, summer night and a trip to the beach made us crave for yummy frap.

I saw this gwapo barista who would consume my thoughts the past months. I bought banoffee pie just to get a closer look at him. He even remarked my sunkissed skin as "Bagay naman" with matching killer smile. I died!

June 30, 2012

What better way to end the first month back in school with drinking. It's been a while since I went out on a Saturday night. No, I wasn't hanging out with my friends, I was rolling with my nephews and a cousin. Time flies when the boys used to be small. Now, they could carry me easily!

My cousin who is their mom had an out-of-town trip and I offered that the boys stay with us. I also invited my cousin and a niece to stay but only cousin made it with ze boys. Geeeeez, the boys can drink! I felt so mature being the ate. Yeeeeey!

We went to buy kape afterwards and went home around 1:30am. Mother said I should bring them home early. Yes, that's early for my standards. I hope they had fun :)

The gwapo barista was borrowed for a month in BF! My awesome team of kiddos supported me with stalking. So much support that they have harrassed him to take a photo with me. I was sooooooo shy and nervous! I finally had my first ever photo with gwapo!

Benigno Aquino Day, holiday! Since fellas are on break too, we wanted to play badminton but ended up swimming because the court isn't done yet. After swimming, I went to buko to meet the birthday boy, ginoo. Skype date with pebots. Sayang wala si gwapo, ang cute ko pa naman.hahaha!

September 16, 2012

16 days of no WC! We dropped by Starbucks Gaisano to visit Brayn. He then suggested to drop by Town, as there is a big possibility that gwapo might be on duty. True enough, gwapo was there! ❤

I was talking to mg, when he said "Hi Lexi!" all the way from the pastry area. We were sitted a bit far from there. I was shocked and surprised! I did the lamest thing, waved with a constipated smile! My goodness!

I then ordered for something else, again just to get closer to him. He asked me how I was and it took me some time to answer and I just answered "Okay" much to mg's frustration.

16 days and I missed him so bad! It was really great to see that gwapo face.

It's 1 and we must kape! We already had plans of having kape in Gaisano as Brayn is there and we needed a different kapehan but since gwapo boy would be staying in BF for good and it was his first day, I decided to have a detour. 😍

My awesome teacherriffics were ever supportive of me and trooped to buko with me :) Another photo with the gwapo barista. Happy to know that he appreciated me dropping by on his first day back.

My 24th natal parteeeeeey! 🎉🎈 I had more or less 70 people on my list but about only 25 people came. I don't really mind since these are the people who proved to be really my friends. Close friends were't able to make it due to circumstances which I fully understand. 'Di bale, bawi next time. I was looking forward to seeing gwapo, but noooooo! He didn't go or any of the baristas for that matter except for Brayn who I don't consider as barista but as a friend.

Anyway, it was an awesome time with dear fellas! Overflowing drinks courtesy of the mobile bar, so much fun that I ended up on the grass!

Cheers to being 24 and the year of the dragon! 😊

12.21.12!!! They said the world will end. I say, I'm glad I met you. It has been a year since the first time I laid eyes on WC. We came from the movies and had kape afterwards. I remember saying, "Look at that Wilson, gwapo!"

He has consumed my thoughts since May. If I had one wish, you know what it is.

After having kape with rako, I dashed off to Paskuhan. As always, date with She and we joined forces with my awesome teacherriffics. USTe will always and forever be home to me. Fireworks! 🎆

1. Tonee Hilario

It's funny how I was able to get closer or I'd like to believe that we have gotten closer to each other. For someone who didn't finish highschool in AAM and got to know me just a year, I would not have imagined to get to know Tonee better. I am happy and honored to be given the chance. Aside from my crazy oppa, we also share bad a** moves. We both like looking at the sunset and the list goes on and on.

Thank you for the opportunity to know you more Tons!

2. Jason Reyes

It has been two years since I handled Jason for his Economics class. He has mentioned it a couple of times that his favorite is my subject. I did not believe it until he graduated. I am happy whenever JC would send random txts or BBM telling me how well he did in his Economics class. It's all him as I have only taught the basics. He would always reply, "Para sa inyo po Ms".

I know you would make it big one day Jason! Keep it up! Thank you for constantly reminding me to always try my best with kids, to strive even harder. At dahil hindi na kita student, 100% ang grade mo sakin. Ikaw rin pala ang favorite student ko. Thank you for believing in me!

3. Pauline Arevalo

I fondly call her P or Poleng. She has been one of the few students I've had a connection with during my first year of teaching. We have managed to keep connected despite the crazy schedules and busy school life.

We've been going out for some time now talking about anything and everything most particularly boys.hahaha! Let's hope this is THE ONE P! Goooooo!

4. Tiara Pleno

A current student who has stood out from the rest. She managed to penetrate my BBM and a little bit closer than an ordinary student. She surprised me with a cake a day before my birthday when I told her not to bother. She's funny and crazy, probably the reason why I got a connection with her. She's also sporty. I wouldn't be surprised to see her play one day.

I hope to get to know you more Tiara!

5. Lolo Soulmate aka Sir Albert

I've been seeing him in buko for about a year now. I usually see him whenever I am there. I decided to call him lolo soulmate because I seriously believe that I will end up with his apo. Yun lang little boy pa yata yung apo niya.hahaha!

6. Ralph Comia

From Comia to Ralphy to sometimes kuya. That's what I call him. One of the few boys from Socra who has a genuinely good heart. We usually talk to each other about his heartaches back when he was still my student. We became closer over the summer after he graduated. Sweet, thoughtful and caring boy. Kuya, mahahanap rin natin ang mga Autumn natin.

7. Julie Dionisio- Jimenez

First impressions last. NOT! Our first impressions of each other wasn't exactly "friendly". Sabi niya ang lakas daw ng dating ko. Iniisip ko naman , nag-deodorant naman ako nun bakit malakas ang dating? Kidding! Ako naman, tingin ko sa kanya nun grabe mangkilatis. It took us a year before we became really close. I thank the Lord that our first impressions didn't last or we wouldn't be awesome friends. Tandaan, ang mga tao konektado sa isa't-isa. Kung hindi sa school, sa ibang lugar kita makikilala.

8. Leanne Lusañez

Beautiful face with a beautiful heart. She is called Lee but I call her bubu. It used to be Lu, short for her surname. I fondly call her baby Lu thus it evolved bu and eventually to bubu. 

Why baby? She proclaimed that we are a small family. She had so much faith that it would work but it didn't. I told her that we would survive. Me and her. No to boys who are very, very confusing! 

How did I meet her? She was from my class and just like Jason, she used to say she enjoys my class, much to my disbelief. She was consistent about it and  we became friends after she graduated. Though we seldom see each other due to hectic scheds and location, I am always here for you bubu! Study well. 

9. Nikki Galingan

Nikki is such a sweet, kind-hearted person. I would have loved her to be in my advisory class but she ended up in another section. Never did I imagine that we would be close. Being close to students wasn't really something that I expected. I have kept my ground and put a wall between myself and the students. So to be close to them is really overwhelming. 

She studied well in my class which caught my attention. She's sincere and one of the kids who showed interest in class no matter how boring it was! 

We got to bond more during cheering practices. Kulang na lang sumali ako sa mismong competition eh. Lagi akong present sa practices nila. Watching over 20+ kids was a challenge. Sakit sa ulo lalo na pag bayaran at order time for our food. Nikki was there to help me out. When I was close to breakig down due ti stress, she was there to cheer me up. Parang hindi siya pagod kakasayaw. I remember us doing the accounting for our McDonald's delivery and cleaned up their mess after eating. 

I fondly call her coco. Coco Shanelle. Nyak ang corny! Pero yun talaga yun. Though she's in college, we go out whenever possible, txt every now and then. 

Be a beautiful bee, coco! :)

10. Sydney Eusebio

Syd and I practically grew up together. We've been classmates since 1st grade. You can just imagine how close we are. We went to different schools in college but she was actually one of the few who kept in touch through the years.

Now, we work in the same school. She's the school nurse while I teach kids. Older by 5 days, she is literally the ate in school . She would help me check my exams, listen to me rant whenever pressure is too much to handle. She has been a great help since Ly flew to Jeddah. 

Mg, thank you for the awesome friendship. :) To infinity and beyond! 

11. Lydia and Raffy Valencia

I call them mama and papa. My awesome parents would always make my list for the obvious reasons. There are a few reasons to like me but a gazillion reasons not to like me. Parents are built in such a way that they would love their kids no matter how bad they turned out to be. I'm not really bad but I am one crazy, challenging kid to deal with. Ma and Pa have always been there for me. They were always ready to hear my petty rants, to scold at me whenever I did something crazy, to support my decisions in life. I would forever be grateful for all you have taught and given me and my siblings. You guys rock! Apir! I love you! 

12. Wilson Clemente

Oh my! It's soooooo exposed! His code name is Whipped Cream or simply WC. 

Last but definitely not the least. This boy has consumed my thoughts since I saw him that fateful May night. I always like gwapo boys. Boy is he ffffffffine ❤❤❤ 

The attraction has escalated through time although I have denied the idea of it. 

He's sugar and spice and everthing nice. Hahaha! Oh WC! We could make beautiful music together. Scorpio + Pisces = LOVE.

It became viral over the summer and even extending after that time. It's so catchy probably because the song just goes on and on with the same lyrics! Plus it's a good pick-up line. My first ever note to WC which was an idea of another person had these lyrics. So call me maybe WC? hahahaha!

My 24th birthday party was the best one yet! Definitely one that will go down the books :) Oh, WC is the best one yet, I would have difficulty surpassing his standards.

 I heard this song over the summer and wondered what the title is until finally ate tracked it down for me in a Gap store we were in. This song makes me happy and groove to the beat. This also reminds me of the time we were in Gap paying for my perfume. Good times! :)

Day 99 - most special photo

I could give you a gazillion photos which are very special to me but this photo would probably be one of the best. Why? This photo made it to the newspaper when I was featured. This was just the second week of school. I was a new teacher back then. I didn't have any clue of what being a teacher would be like. I was literally thrown off the pool and didn't know how to swim so to speak.

I had no choice but to randomly ask a photo with them during our homeroom. I was asked why we needed a photo and I simply said I wanted a captured moment. That was partly true as I make a blog about it now. But more to a captured moment, I needed this photo for my writer.

Weeks later, I got a text from my writer (who happened to be a Tomasino as well!) that the paper was out and that I should grab a copy. I was so excited to see myself on it that I bought all the copies from the news stand! Hahaha! I also asked my students to buy a copy and bring it to school. I think only two bought a copy. :l They asked why  they needed to buy. I answered, "Clearly, you didn't open the newspaper." So I told them to go to the features section and they went crazy seeing their faces on the paper :) We even had the write-up posted on our bulletin board. A very special photo indeed.

Day 98 - fave place

I love the sun. I love the sand. I love the salty water. I love the smell of sunblock lotion on my skin. I love the sound of crashing waves. I love the serenity a beach brings to me. A beach with a breath-taking sunset would be a favorite place to visit.

Day 97 - dream height

Meet my baru, Meg. She's 5'7" or 5'8". I'm not sure if she still grew a few inches. I'd be more than glad if I was 5'6". I wanted a few more inches practically because I wanted to play volleyball. My ultimate dream was to play for the National Team. I know height isn't the only basis but it's a big thing. Like what they say, height advantage. If I also had a few more inches, maybe I could try modeling. hahaha! A good friend once said, height lang talaga kulang Rach. ayayay!

Day 96 - something you cant sleep without

What a challenge for this one! I had to look through my old albums for a photo of my blanket! Spot that dirty white cloth on this photo? Yep! That's my trusty blanket. It's not dirty white but is indeed dirty! Kahit anong laba gawin mo eh kumapit na yata yung mantsa! I've had this blanket since I was in first grade! I use it up to this day.

Have you heard of the word security blanket? That's what it does to me. Everytime that I would sleep elsewhere, I make sure I have it with me. To the beach, a hotel, a friend's house, or out of the country. My mom always argues that it's dirty and all but I don't care. I can only sleep if it's with me.Yes, bata much! ;p

Day 95 - your pet

The only pet I consider mine. I took care of her when she was still a puppy. Probably the most tedious time in a life of a dog. She was allowed to stay inside the house until she became big. She was sent out when she started occupying space inside the house. Poor dog!

Her name was supposed to be Pochie but I decided to make it Poochie instead. My term of endearment is Poochieni. I miss the days when she was soooo little and oh so adorable. Poochie, to infinity and beyond okay?? Steady ka lang.

Day 94 - international model you like

I saw this featured on Yahoo days ago. I read about the article and got these photos. Meet Alessandra Ambrosio, VS Angel. I love them Angels!!! Aside from having awesome curves, she is one beautiful woman. Look at her strut with a bulging belly! Hey, you're not supposed to wear heels preggy! I also love Heidi Klum and Miranda Kerr still from Angels.

Day 93 - future wedding gown

I want something simple but elegant. Enough skin to show as the priest might disapprove of too much skin. Something similar to this gown. My mom had her gown something like this. She wore a lace long-sleeved gown. It's difficult to explain but something like that. I want to have the same "theme" like hers.

I want a bustier to emphasize what little I have and to feel like a woman on that special day. The lace would do a slight cover-up for the ceremony. I want beadwork done on my gown. My wedding gown would look something like this. Lace would have to be better than this, not turtleneck type. Beads on the gown as mentioned.

Day 92- sweetest note (recent)

I got these letters (walang note!) December of last year. This photo shows how surprised and happy I am as I read it. Captured moment right there :) These were from little Catherine and Angela, siblings who I must say have a huge faith in me (pressure!!!). Thank you for believing in me. I will try my best to keep up with your standards. I enjoy getting handwritten letters from people who matter to me. In this age of technology, rare do we get that. Thank you! ♥♥♥

Day 91 - your fave part of your face

I've been told my eyes are quite nice. My favorites would have to be my nose and dimple. I got my nose from papa. Of course, his is waaaaaay matangos! I do have a dimple which only shows with a very "pilit" smile... or when I frown. I'm glad that this photo was able to show both features :)

So recent it was just yesterday! She visited me at long last! Some bubu time. yeeeeeeey! We went to buko for our usual date and had the couch all to ourselves. Happy kiddos indeed! Brilliant minds connect, look at those planners! :) Because I was craving for some isaw, we crossed the street. Que Horror! I didn't know you were JUST 16! I brought you to the dark side!!! :( But hey, we did have isaw. JUST ISAW!

Day 88 - picture of all your gadgets

I've been told I have "many" gadgets and I would love to disagree. I just want to keep connected with friends and family. Communication is very important to me :) I breathe music and I love capturing moments! Six photos rolled into one!

1. You don't mess with me of I'll put a spell on you using my lollipop! nyahahahaha! Spot cali, my cool ipod nano 6th gen. I love music and cali gives me that. It can also store photos and serve as a watch. Coolio!

2. My trusty laptop. It serves as weights on my backpack! I inherited this from my brother. He inherited it from our cousin back in 2005 (?). Now, that's what I call ancient...and jurassic too! We have been through a lot and I mean A LOT! I wait for the day that it will retire :)

3. My cellphone. My seventh cellphone since I had my own phone back when I was in third year high school. It has improved in time! I like keeping my  fone close to me as it serves as my gateway to loved ones. A call or a txt to get through them :)

4. My Itouch. Meet gench, my itouch 3rd gen. A recent addition to my gadget list. I really wanted one for google map and google translate until various apps and games ruined it all. hahaha! Struggling to fit everything with my 8GB memory :l

5. Cybershot gigicam. Yes, I call it gigicam. Mum bought this back in 2008, when everyone had a digicam! She realized that she must have one as well given that she goes around the world almost every month! Being the camwhore that I was back then, it ended up with me. Inangkin ko ng bonnga! Nakikihiram lang si mama pag may lipad ;p

6. Olympus gigicam. Ate bought this in Japan and accidentally dropped it leaving the lens smashed. She took it home December 2010 and gave it to me. Ang sweet di ba? Ipaayos ko na lang daw para kay mama na yung Sony. Of course that didn't happen since mum isn't fond of photos. This serves as my spare camera whenever Sony runs out of space or battery.

Day 87 - something you often think about lately

Ever since the year started, I had one thing on mind. INTRAMS! Handling a senior class gives you that extra hype. We've been practicing for cheering and volleyball. We're working on drills and dance steps. It's quite a task but the kids' spirits are too high for a championship crown this year. Let's go Seniors! I couldn't find a photo of my senior kids at work so I think my intrams experience from way back would suffice. hahaha!

Day 85 - picture of your house

The house has been "too" big with four people living. It becomes bigger when kuya goes to work at night and when mom and I go to work in the morning.

It becomes "too" small when the entire clan troops down south, our territory. I don't mind, I'll rather have it jampacked and in chaos rather  than too quiet. This photo was taken for our New Year clan reunion. Kulang pa yan!

Anyway, meet Patek. My good friend's cousin. I met him during my gradeschool days. We only get to say hi whenever interschool competition happened. I finally got to hang-out with him when his cousin, my good friend invited both of us for the Youth Encounter.

He exemplifies good looks and manners to go with it. He is a good-natured person and fun to be with :) Look how game he was to pose like that. Nyahaha! His girlfriend is one lucky girl but from what I do know, it's him who's way luckier to have her. Kudos to you two! Makikita ko rin ang right match but for now, ikaw muna ang basis Patek :))

First two photos from the internet. It would be a dream to have dreads and then have it mohawk before finally shaving it off. I would get all of these one day. I love to live life to the extremes. 

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be kalbo when I saw Cacai Velasquez (Regine's sister) donning it. When I grew older, I realized it would be a shame to just shave it all off. So I decided that before I turn into kalbo, I would have dreads then mohawk. Para sulit naman pagpapakalbo. 

My desire of being bald intensified when I met someone who eventually became a friend. She just finished having chemotherapy that time, thus the loss of hair. I knew she felt pretty bad about it and I swore to myself that one day, I'll shave my hair off for all those cancer patients :)

Day 78 - most used make-up

I will survive with only cheek tint which would be found inside my kikay kit on this photo. Whenever I ran out of cheek tint, a good substitute would be a red lipstick. I have grown fond of using my good friend's lippie. This one in the photo makes me a sunkissed Barbie. nyahaha! I am also into eyeliner. I like to "define" my eyes. The most used make-up for me: cheek tint, eyeliner, lipstick. Arte!

Day 76 -  favorite church

                                            Colegio de Nuestra Señora del Santisimo Rosario

It is popularly known as UST Chapel. hahaha! Gotta love your own. I have three favorites but I think  this Church would top the list. This is where I have reconnected with my spiritual side. A trip to this chapel is a must before going to class or after class. This is where I prayed with my friends for the Tigers to win championship. This is where my thesis partner and I prayed for our defense. This is where I lifted all my prayers. This is definitely a place close to my heart :)

Three people from three different series.

Meet Brooke Davis. I've watched her in One Tree Hill and I can relate myself to her in terms of love issues. She had a box of letter to Lucas. It's something that I did in the past. She had to divert herself from Lucas by making clothes. She used to feel all alone. She thinks no one will ever love her 'coz she used to fool around. I always say I'm Brooke minus the taking her clothes part. hahaha! Now, I'm enjoying my time until my Julian comes :) Cheers B. Davis!

Meet Charles Bass aka Chuck. Blair's on-off boyfriend in Gossip Girl. Promiscuous. If I would describe Chuck in one word, that would be the word. I am FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from being promiscuous! Chuck used to do every girl in the Upper East... until he did Blair! He settled down for good, stopped his game and focused with Queen B. He had difficulty in uttering those words but he did anyway. He did it again to get B back. I've like sooooo many boys! Liked them bigtime only to get devastated. I've liked this one boy too much to the extent that I did all things unimaginable to me. Chuck was that to Blair!

Meet Jessica Day. Who's that girl? It's Jess! I love New Girl!♥ I love Zooey Deschannel and she's soooooo hilarious in this series. A teacher in middle school. She always felt second best next to her model bestfriend Cece. Cece always says it was never like that. People find her actions weird. I see some similarities with Jess. haha!

      A smile

 I used to wear my earrings all the time even when I'm asleep. Now, I remove it because it's painful when I sleep at night. 

If there is one accessory I don't remove (or at least try) it would be my smile :) It brightens the face and makes everyone feel good too. So share that smile!
